Whaleback Boulder

Named rock

What is recorded here

Whaleback Boulder is a large, streamlined glacial erratic, likely formed during the last Ice Age (around 10,000 to 20,000 years ago) as a result of glacial movement and meltwater erosion. Its distinctive shape, resembling the back of a whale, makes it a notable example of glacial landform sculpting in the region.
