What is recorded here
An archaeological excavation to the rear of Parnell Street in 1999 (Excavation Licence no. 99E0649) revealed a well, probably dating to the late 17th century which would have supplied water to the buildings on the streetfront, traces of which had been largely removed by the insertion of underground petrol tanks (Moran 1999, 10-11, 15).
