Leaba Dhiarmada 'is Ghrainne, a ruined wedge tomb on Inis Meáin, aligns its surviving gallery east to west beneath a heavy roofstone. The local story names it after Diarmada and Grainne, turning cold limestone into a lover's bed. That much is tradition rather than fact, but it explains why the place still feels occupied. The stones tilt south, the cairn has mostly vanished, and the west upright lies displaced, yet the chamber keeps its shape on bare rock. Build a life around that shape and the tomb stops being debris.

On Inis Meáin, on bare flat limestone cragland to NE of and below Baile an Mhothair. This Nat. Mon., known locally as Leaba Dhiarmada 'is Ghrainne, is very ruined. The gallery (L c. 3.5m), aligned E-W, is represented by two large sidestones now pitched markedly to S beneath a large roofstone. Outer walling occurs to N and S of the gallery. A displaced upright stone at W end of the gallery may have formed part of an entrance feature. Some slight traces of cairn survive around the tomb which appears to have been built directly on bare rock, (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 18-19; Robinson 1980) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its alignment and location suggest it was part of a broader funerary and ritual landscape on the Aran Islands.
