What is recorded here

Weatherby Castle is an Iron Age hillfort on a Dorset chalk spur where double ramparts still throw long shadows across a narrow entrance passage. The earthworks may have served defence or proud display, but they have watched the same valley for two thousand years. A small obelisk marked EMP 1761 stands inside the enclosure, linking the ancient bank to a much later owner and reminding visitors that the hill has kept several kinds of pride.
Weatherby Castle is shown as a archaeological place on the public map of Dorset. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
