Why this matters

Watern Tor is a small granite tor rising to approximately 470 metres above sea level in the Dartmoor range of Devon. It is a notable example of a tors landscape formed by the erosion of the underlying granite, and like many Dartmoor features, it carries traces of prehistoric activity including nearby stone rows and hut circles.
