Graves (1850-51, vol. 1, 154-5) describes the remains of a horizontal water mill (KK005-048----) which was uncovered in Ballymartin (Fassadinin By.) townland. At the end of the description it states, 'Mr. Graves had mentioned the circumstance to P. S. Butler, Esq., M. P., who informed him that he also had discovered an analogous structure, in a position somewhat similar, near his residence at Lodge Park. The precise location of this structure within the townland is unknown.
