What is recorded here

No watchman is named, but the hut still stands inside a graveyard in West Cork, where keeping a flame or a door may have been as sacred as burying the dead. The 1842 survey marked the place but drew no building, as if the hut belonged more to memory than to ink. That absence makes it harder to forget.
