Virgilia: North Sea

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Virgilia: North Sea as Steam Trawler (20th Century)-(1917). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Virgilia* was a steam trawler built in 1917 and active in the North Sea during the early 20th century. It was lost at sea, likely during World War I, with no survivors recorded; its wreck remains a significant archaeological site for understanding early 20th-century fishing and maritime industries in Scotland.
