Vineyard, Castle Pill appears in the national record as a Post Medieval vineyard, though no surviving column, barrel or wine label remains to prove the claim. The name suggests people planted rows on that coast and tended them through salt wind and winter dark. Whether they produced drink, dessert or delight is no longer certain. What is certain is that the land was shaped for patience, and patience is the rarest crop anywhere.
