This brown commemorative plaque records: Victoria Cocoa House The Three Cups Cocoa House of 1878 transferred here in 1897. As part of the temperance movement, non-alcoholic drinks, accommodation, reading and meeting rooms were provided. Recorded plaque organisation: Church Bank Properties Ltd, Nantwich Civic Society.
Victoria Cocoa House was a significant establishment within the temperance movement, offering non-alcoholic beverages and spaces for meetings and reading, promoting sobriety and community engagement from 1897 onwards.
