Victoria Bridge

Single-arch road bridge, built c.1830, carrying road over Maglin River. Rubble coursed stone walls having cut limestone voussoirs to segmental arch and recent concrete coping to random coursed parapet.

The bridge exhibits fine craftsmanship and is a reminder of the provisions which were made in the nineteenth century to facilitate communication and transport over the river. Forming part of a busy route, it has retained much of its original fabric.
