US Army Steam Tug 672, a small steam-powered tugboat used during World War II, was lost in 1944 after striking a mine off the coast of Wales. The vessel sank with the loss of all 11 crew members, and its wreck remains as a significant wartime maritime casualty in Welsh waters.
