URN BURIALS, possibly URN FIELD (O.S. memoir site, unlocated) in Ballintaggart

Mentioned in an old Ordnance Survey memoir but never properly located, the site is called URN BURIALS, possibly URN FIELD in Ballintaggart, County Derry. It belongs to the PREHISTORIC period, when people may have set small clay pots full of ash and bone into the ground instead of burying whole bodies. The field has vanished from modern mapping, yet the name preserves a quiet act of remembrance: someone lived, died, and was carried into the earth in a vessel small enough to hold in both hands.
