Ulbster, 'the Ulbster Stone'

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Ulbster, 'the Ulbster Stone' as Cross Slab (pictish), Pictish Symbol Stone (pictish). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Likely dating to the Early Medieval period, associated with the Picts, the Ulbster Stone is a symbol slab that may have functioned as a memorial or territorial marker. Its carved symbols could represent clan identity, religious belief, or early Christian influence.
