What is recorded here
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Ukho 12143 (empire Beacon) as Wreck. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Empire Beacon, a British coaster, was lost in 1940 during World War II after striking a mine off the coast of Wales. The vessel sank with the loss of all 28 crew members; it had no military cargo but was significant as a victim of the wartime mine threat to civilian shipping.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
