Ughill is a low hill in the southern part of the Peak District, with an elevation of approximately 200–250 metres. It is part of the Magnesian Limestone geological formation, typical of the area, and lies near the historic boundary between Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, contributing to its local historical and topographical significance.
