The UB-116 was a German Type UB III submarine that was scuttled in Scapa Flow, Orkney, on 21 June 1919, following the end of the First World War. It was one of 52 German U-boats deliberately sunk by their crews to prevent capture after the Armistice. The wreck is historically significant as part of the largest scuttling of a fleet in naval history and is protected under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973.
