Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Ub 115 (possibly) as Submarine (first World War)-(1918). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Ub 115 was a German U-boat (Type U 117) that served during World War I and was likely sunk in 1918, though the exact date and circumstances remain unclear. It is believed to have been lost in the North Sea, possibly as a result of enemy action or mine strike, and its wreck is now a protected historic site in Scottish waters.
