U-33: Firth of Clyde

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records U-33: Firth of Clyde as Submarine (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

U-33 was a German U-boat lost in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland, in 1915 during World War I after striking a mine. The vessel sank with the loss of all 38 crew members; its wreck remains a significant wartime maritime archaeological site.
