What is recorded here
The Civil Survey (1654-6) mentions 'one thatcht house' upon the lands of Tyone (Simington ed. 1934, vol.II, 251). It was thought this seventeenth-century house may have been incorporated in the present Tyone House. However this house is typical box Georgian with no indications of an early date, not sufficent evidence to locate this dwelling to Tyone House, left in SMR as an unlocated site.
