Two medieval pits in Greencastle still hold the shape of 13th and 14th century burial, their edges barely touched since the bodies were laid away. The earth there remembers weight, patience and the quiet violence of forgetting. What is missing has not stopped the place from speaking; it has only removed the part that could be argued with.
