Marianne and I walked the edge of Tullyvoos Fairy Fort at dusk. Her fingers traced the shallow ditch while I watched the sky turn red above the drumlin. The fort had no doors, walls or rooms that human tools could have built. It was a smooth ring of earth, complete and waiting, as if the land had dreamed a house into being. Marianne sat inside it and laughed because the circle felt warm around her ankles. We left before dark, not from fear but respect. Some places are not dead. They are patient.

Internal diam. c. 27m. A subcircular platform up to 2.2m above the surrounding ground with very faint traces of an internal bank. Over the S half of the site there is an outer fosse and an outer bank. However, both could be modern as they connect up with field boundaries to the N. The site is located on the crest of a drumlin with good views and in fair pasture. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
