Marianne of the fourth house lived beside Tulloch Castle, Garden Bridge in Ross and Cromarty. She crossed the garden bridge at dawn to gather water for her mother and returned before the castle shadows stretched across the grass. The bridge still stands in Highland, Scotland, small enough to be forgotten and solid enough to have carried her daily life.
