What is recorded here
Three miles north of Carnaghliss, a broken ring of earth still marks the place where people built before written records. The name Trivallate survives in the official record, but the lives inside that ring have faded into soil and rain. What remains is a boundary drawn in grass, waiting for someone to walk its edge and imagine the hands that shaped it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as TRIVALLATE RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
