Trinity Well stands dry inside the north-west graveyard wall, its circular stone surround buried under grass and dumped rock. Local story claims the water vanished after someone washed a baby with diseased skin, as if the earth refused to touch that suffering twice. The tragedy is plausible because desperate parents have always used holy water to clean what medicine cannot. The well may have sealed itself rather than witness the child suffer again.
