Well has stone-built surround, roofed by single stone lintel. Now dry, no longer in holy use. SW of Castleventry graveyard (CO134-025003-). Linked to St Brigid, the well was historically visited for healing and protection, particularly for women's ailments and fertility. The site reflects early Christian traditions in Ireland, where holy wells were often associated with saintly intercession and seasonal rituals.
