Trinity Church (in ruins)

This slab forms the top step of the style into the churchyard' at Trinity Church (WI023-014001-). The slab lies to the NW of the church and the inscised cross has been almost totally worn away by the passage of feet on it. Described by Healy (1972, 88) as a ‘large slab of mica-schist 1.48m x 0.5m x 0.18m thick. It has a rebate down one edge 3.5cm deep, and a short length of a similar rebate on the other edge. There is a small single line Greek cross incised near one end. There is said to be a similar one on the other side. This slab forms the top step of the stile into the churchyard (WI023-014005-).
