Tower House stands in Gortgarn, County Derry, a post-medieval structure from the sixteenth or seventeenth century. Its stones mark a lived defensive place, likely guarding a household against the unstable borderland world of that era. The building still holds the shape of human fear and pride, even when its rooms no longer name their owners.
