What is recorded here

Mere 300 feet north of the cathedral stands Touthill, the buried skeleton of Peterborough's first castle. A bailey once held life and labour there before the stone rose above it, but the ground has swallowed the boundaries and kept the shape. The hill still bumps the surface like a forgotten muscle, waiting for someone to read what the dirt forgot.
