Tony Killeen

Tony Killeen was born in Corofin, County Clare, on 9 June 1952, the quiet western starting point for a life that later carried him into Dublin cabinets and national defence. He taught children before politics, sat on Clare County Council, and represented Clare in Dáil Éireann from 1992 to 2011. Corofin did not need to become grand; it gave him the shape of a man who could move between classrooms, county halls and state rooms without losing the local voice.
