What is recorded here

Death and memory are the same act. A chamber fits the body, a door fits the chamber, and a roof fits the door. The living leave the chamber behind, but they carry its shape into every room they enter. The dead stop being a secret and become a witness. This is a tomb, not a tragedy.

Effigial tomb; medieval period. Associated with the Jerpoint monastery complex, it reflects early Christian burial practices in the region.
