What is recorded here

Jerpoint is a drowned town, not a dead one. Its streets are still there under the grass and water, waiting for someone to stop looking for monuments and start listening for life. The tomb stands above them like a marker dropped into a forgotten room. What is missing is not evidence, but imagination.

At St Mary's parish church (KK019-026115-) in Kilkenny, found during removal of 1740 blocking of the S nave arcade, Bay 2 (Ó Drisceoil 2019, unpublished). A fragment of a chest tomb panel, composed of fossiliferous limestone (ibid.). It is currently in storage in the NE corner of the S side of the graveyard.
