This brushed metal commemorative plaque records: These gates were originally installed at Raddlebarn Junior and Infant School, Selly Oak. Their refurbishment in 1999 was made possible by a donation to the Friends of Winterbourne Garden from the estate of the late Tom Pitt (1904-98), sometime President of the National Pansy and Viola Society and a Winterbourne Friend. Recorded plaque organisation: Friends of Winterbourne Garden.
Tom Pitt (1904-1998) was a notable member of the National Pansy and Viola Society, remembered for his contributions to horticulture and philanthropy through donations that supported local community projects like the refurbishment of school gates at Raddlebarn Junior and Infant School.
