What is recorded here

Tolendal Castle stands in ruins on an esker ridge west of a field system in County Galway. An eleven-metre depression and scattered rubble mark the site, though no architectural features remain visible. The castle may have watched the land below or sheltered people during storms, but its exact purpose has faded with its walls. What is left is a shallow scar on the ridge, holding more absence than memory.
