Toberastira is a hidden holy well beside the old Kilcolman church enclosure, remembered for cleansing water and quiet prayer. It has no visible marker, which suggests the site relied on oral direction and personal devotion rather than stone boundaries. People may have walked across the road at dawn, carrying clay vessels to drink or wash, trusting the water to carry away fever or grief. The absence of a surviving structure does not diminish the well; it removes the possibility of performance and leaves only the act of drinking.

Toberastira is traditionally associated with Saint Astira, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and was likely a site of pilgrimage and healing. Holy wells dedicated to Saint Astira were often visited for cures related to skin ailments and general well-being, with rituals typically involving the collection of water at dawn.
