Toberarraghta Fort, Killeenan is a ringfort, a circular defensive earthwork typically dating to the early medieval period (c. 500–1000 AD), commonly associated with Irish farming communities. Local folklore may link such sites to the "fairy folk," with traditions of supernatural inhabitants or hidden otherworldly realms.
