Why this matters
Toberanbrick, near Blessington, was associated with a healing tradition where invalids drank from the well and left rags as offerings. The well's name, Tobar an Bhric, refers to a legendary trout believed to reside there, linking it to local folklore of curative waters.

Now covered by Blessington Reservoir. The name refers to a trout (Tobar an Bhric) which was said to live in the well. According to the OS Name Books invalids drank from the well and left rags on the surrounding bushes.
