Tobar Mocha

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tobar Mocha as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Tobar Mocha is a holy well associated with Saint Mocha, a 6th-century Irish monk and patron saint of the Picts, who is said to have founded a monastery in Perth. The well was traditionally visited for its healing properties, particularly for skin ailments and eye complaints, and was often linked to rituals involving the lighting of candles or the leaving of offerings.
