What is recorded here
Thunderfield Castle has vanished into the Reigate and Banstead soil, leaving behind a ghost of a fortress that once defied the sky. The name itself warns of storms and fury, as if the builders believed ordinary stone was not enough to hold back the dark. What remains is an empty chamber in the earth, waiting for someone brave or foolish enough to listen for the thunder still trapped inside its walls.
Thunderfield Castle (Site of) is shown as a ruins on the public map of Reigate and Banstead. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
