The *Nanaloa* was a 19th-century coaster wrecked in 1887 near West Mersea, Essex, after running aground on tidal flats during a storm. It carried general cargo; no lives were lost, and its remains became a local marker for tidal patterns and maritime navigation in the Colne Estuary area.
