This black commemorative plaque records: Hand and Heart. In the late 70's, early 80's this public house was a major venue for the emerging Coventry music scene and played host to a plethora of artists including The Specials Recorded plaque organisation: 2-Tone Trail.
The Specials were a British ska revival band formed in Coventry in 1977, known for their distinctive sound blending ska, rocksteady, and punk rock, and for addressing social issues through their music; they are historically important for their influence on the Two-Tone record label and the mod revival of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
