What is recorded here

Luma Tower rose in Shieldhall in 1938 as a light bulb factory, its protruding test chamber casting illegal brightness across Glasgow during the wartime blackout. Royal Observer Corps men watched for raiders from that same cage while ordinary residents marveled at the blue neon still tracing its edges tonight. The building survived dereliction because a local housing association refused to let it vanish, converting forty-three apartments inside the Streamline Moderne frame. It remains a defiant lamp in the dark, proving that cooperative ambition and stubborn preservation can outlast cartels, war and neglect.
