This blue commemorative plaque records: Canondy. The Canonry (Abbeyfield).Adeiladwyd y Canondy ar safle hanesyddol. Llosgodd Owain Glyndwr dafarn yno yn 1402 a chodwyd sefydliad eglwysig yn ei le. The Canonry was built on a historic site. Owain Glyndwr burnt down a hostelry there in 1402 and an ecclesiastical residence was erected in its place.
Owain Glyndŵr, a Welsh ruler and leader of a rebellion against English rule, burnt down a hostelry at The Canonry site in 1402, marking his resistance during the Welsh Revolt.
