This bronze commemorative plaque records: The Butterwalk 1635 - 1640 This building, which suffered severe war damage on February 13th 1943 was repaired and reinstated during 1953 by the Dartmouth Corporation with assistance from the Ministry of Works and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
