What is recorded here
The base of the old castle oven is a castle, fort or tower in Powys, Wales. Perhaps heat still rises through the stone when the wind dies, carrying ghosts of bread and beer into the dark. Maybe a baker worked here before the castle fell, feeding soldiers until the ovens cracked and the kitchen emptied. Imagine your palms pressing the warm base at dusk, feeling the shape of a hand that vanished centuries ago.
