Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Thalia as Obstruction (period Unassigned)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Thalia* was a 19th-century Scottish steam vessel, lost in 1872 near the Isle of Cumbrae following a collision with the *Mona*. The wreck resulted in no loss of life but carried cargo of coal and general merchandise. Its significance lies in being an early example of steam navigation in Scottish coastal waters.
