Terryland Ho. (in ruins)

House, 18th/19th century

What is recorded here

This house was probably erected in the 18th century as a replacement for Terryland Castle (GA ) to the north which was burned in 1691. This house was described in 1838 as 'inhabited by caretaker in a state of ruin' (OS Name Book, 45-6). The house gradually fell into complete ruin and only fragmentary remains survive.
