Temple Jarlath

Temple Jarlath stands in Tuam as a thirteenth-century ruin where mistaken identity has clouded its name for centuries, yet its east gable still displays a triple-light window and salvaged Romanesque heads taken from an older church. The building measures twenty-one metres across and retains a two-storey west tower containing a plastered tomb, while a later burial vault presses against the north wall. Its stones record repeated reuse rather than a single sacred moment, since each generation took what it needed and added its own death to the same ground.
