Temple Gauney vanished beneath Offaly soil, leaving only a subtle thickening in the graveyard wall to mark where its chapel stood. That small ridge preserves the footprint of a building no longer visible, transforming an ordinary boundary into a hidden container for forgotten prayer. The church departed, but the earth still shapes itself around the memory of its rooms.

National Monument No. 81. Not visible at ground level. According to the OS 6-inch map the church site was located outside the SW corner of the graveyard where today the wall slightly thickens.
