The *Telegraph* was a British steamship that sank in 1879 off the coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales, after colliding with the French steamer *La Bourgogne*. The wreck resulted in the loss of 532 lives, making it one of the deadliest maritime disasters in British history at the time.
